Calgary, AB – The Western Hockey League in association with RE/MAX of Western Canada are proud to announce the launch of a new 3-year partnership that includes grassroots programming with all Canadian WHL Markets along with brand integration across various WHL broadcast and online properties.
As a proud sponsor of the WHL, RE/MAX will be highly visible in all 17 Canadian WHL markets. RE/MAX will also run an exciting promotion during the 2010-11 season – The RE/MAX Home Team Contest – giving fans the chance to win a $10,000 Home Improvement Package.

RE/MAX Quest for Excellence Bursary Program Updated

RE/MAX of Western Canada is now offering $16,000 inbursary monies in its annual Quest for Excellence Program, offered to Western Canadian Grade 12 students.
The Quest for Excellence Program, now in its 10th year, was established to recognize ongoing pursuits of Western Canadian students. The program has been revised to a single category to recognize students’ leadership and community contribution achievements. "We are encouraging students to communicate what they have done specifically in their local communities to make a difference in the lives of others, whether it be by fundraising for a cause, volunteering their time, or participating in any other local initiatives," says Marie Sheppy, Senior Coordinator, Corporate Affairs, RE/MAX of Western Canada.
Sixteen entries will be selected from entries received on-line at www.remax-western.ca in the following provinces and territories; Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Yukon. Each winner will receive a RE/MAX Quest for Excellence bursary, each valued at $1,000. The application deadline is March 4, 2011. Award recipients will be notified by May 9, 2011, with a formal presentation at the students’ commencement ceremonies. "We are anticipating an abundance of quality applications from our community youth leaders," says Elton Ash, Regional Executive Vice President, RE/MAX of Western Canada. "It is always an honour to recognize the outstanding young adults for their achievements and contributions."
