In a recent blog post, RE/MAX Chairman and Co-Founder Dave Liniger shares his reflections on winning the Inman News "People's Choice Most Influential Leader" award last week in New York City.
The "People’s Choice" honor is given to the real estate leader who has made the most significant contributions to the industry during the past year, based on the popular vote in an online poll.
Here's Liniger's post in its entirety.
It was a real honor to receive the Inman News "People's Choice Most Influential Leader" award last Thursday in New York City. I'm grateful to everyone who thought I was worthy of a vote, and I was proud to represent RE/MAX in front of a large audience of industry leaders at Real Estate Connect.
In the online poll, it seems safe to think that the people outside our organization who voted for me were making a comment about the positive impact RE/MAX has had on our industry. And people inside our organization were voicing their support for where we are and what we're doing.
That's gratifying for everyone on our leadership team in Denver. We work very hard on behalf of RE/MAX Affiliates, the real estate industry, and consumers who expect their agents to be serious, effective and professional. It's easy to do – because we know you're working just as hard as we are. That drive is built into the foundation of RE/MAX, and it's visible at every level of our organization.
So, thank you. I was the lucky one on stage last week, but in reality it was RE/MAX, not me, being recognized.
